Emotional
Balancing
Some
of this is excerpted from a recent Omnidimensional reading. The
exercise at the end is one of the many coaching tools I use with
clients.
To
be in balance is to be in stasis. Life is for growth and movement.
The only way this happens is through the discomfort of being off
balance.
Consider
that in order to walk forward most people first shift their body
off balance. Then they place a foot out in front to catch themselves.
People such as these prefer to take off and trust that the landing
place will appear when they need or want it.
Others
step forward, keeping their body erect, until they have a solid
footing and then shift their weight forward. For such as these,
their entire life is about finding the landing place before they
take off.
Neither
way is better. Both offer unique experiences in their methodology.
The secret is that both require a shifting of balance and in order
to do so, one must first let go of the safety and security of being
in balance.
A
large part of the learning you came onto the planet for this lifetime
is about balance between two major emotions which are polar opposites.
Much as you may attempt to bring them into balance, t the rascally
things just won't be ordered. Either you have one side of the teeter-totter
up or the other, but both cannot be at the top at the same time.
So
you have a pivot point at which you can reside. However, while this
pivot point may look like the answer to balancing these two opposites,
it is not the answer. The pivot point is the stillpoint - the place
of no movement. No in breath or out breath. No movement up or down,
forward or backward.
You
have the opportunity to experience both polarities of any emotion
and the point of non-polarity. In all things you will find these
three options. Each offers you its own unique experience and thus
novel learning. To find the truth, the pure truth, in anything and
in any experience, you must explore this triad of beingness. To
further add to your completeness with any experience, there are
degrees of polarities that you might also explore.
As
an experiment with this new concept of balancing the triad of emotional
states, play with this exercise:
- First,
you'll need three sheets of paper. Envision a line about ten to
fifteen feet long on the floor. Place one sheet in the center
of this line and one at each end.
- Focus
on an emotion you're currently experiencing due to some issue
in your life. Write the name of that emotion on a sheet of paper
at one of the ends. Determine the opposite of that emotion and
write its name on the other sheet of paper at the other end of
the line.
- Stand
on the paper in the center. Notice how you feel... emotionally
and physically. Pay particular attention to your upper chest and
your solar plexus area.
- Turn
your back to one end of the line. Take one step backward toward
that end. It is important that you keep your back toward the emotion
you're moving closer to so that your mind doesn't jump to the
end. Notice now how you feel as you're one step closer to that
emotion.
- Take
another step backward, and again notice how you feel. Continue
until you reach the end. Step off the line and go back to the
center, or neutral point.
- Turn
your back toward the other emotion, the opposite of the one you
just experienced, and repeat the backward steps, noticing at each
one how you feel.
- At
the end, come back to the neutral or stillpoint in the center.
Stay there for a bit and notice how you feel.
- Then
compare the three emotional experiences. You may wish to have
someone take notes for you as you proceed through this exercise
or you might record your comments.
Now
you have experienced the triality of the import or influence of
that emotion.
As
you continue to practice this exercise you'll be gaining not only
knowledge and awareness about the power of your emotions, but also
about how best to utilize the imbalance of them. You learn how to
control the balance of them and then come to the stillpoint for
a time in which you can compare the two opposites and discern what
import they have for you regarding the meaning and the learning
in any and all situations.
It
is only by comparison of opposites that you can learn of yourself.

Symbol
of the Month
Awakening

The Power of Angelic Symbology by Debbie Z.
Follow
the energy of this symbol, either with your eyes or by drawing it
with pen or color crayon on paper. Although there are no directions
on where to start, I like to begin at the left and follow the energy
as it flows around and down, then up again, circling toward the
heavens, and then down again and around. I sense that each downward
stroke is connecting me to the physical 3D world and the center
loop is a visit to the spiritual realms. The circling movements
on the side I sense are the swirling of energies as both spiritual
and physical blend so I can understand the higher wisdom received
in meditation with this symbol.
Suggested
uses:
- Draw
the symbol over your heart with a pen, body paints, or henna tattoo.
- Using
a colored felt pen or paint, draw the symbol on paper and hang
it on your wall in an area of your home where you meditate and
could use the energy of Awakening.
- Place
the image on your Treasure Map to help you Awaken to your highest
potential.
