Take-offs and Landings A long, long time ago I shared the knowledge I had acquired as a website designer by teaching classes in basic website design. One of the important parts of any website is the links to and from other webpages (internal) and to other websites (external). And one of the important parts of a link is the landing page. A good website designer will always make sure they have a place for the link to land before they create the link. Now I'm no longer teaching website design classes. But because teaching is my passion, I am still teaching... and now it's Tai Chi. One of the important parts of Tai Chi is making sure that you have solidly planted your foot before you shift your weight onto that foot. Otherwise you end up becoming unbalanced and falling forward instead of staying centered and balanced. Having a solid place on which to land before taking off into a step is important in Tai Chi. Pilots know that they must file a flight plan before they can actually fly their plane somewhere. They must have a place to land before they take off. Recently I had lunch with a friend and during our conversation I mentioned that we are going to be selling our house. This, of course, entails buying another house and moving. I shared that I was uncertain about putting our current house on the market and then trying to find a place to buy. Then it dawned on me that I was thinking of taking off before I have a place to land. This concept is most important to remember when doing manifesting work. One of the most important aspects of manifesting and otherwise creating your life is determining the place you're going to land before you take off.
You'll find that what you want comes to you faster and more easily if you first make a place for it to land before you ask it to take off and fly to you. Love,
Books have always been an important part of my life. Because I love books so much, I want to share with you those that especially excite me. Here is this month's selection...
There's a book here, but the important part isn't the book. It's the cards with the visionary artwork by Ciro Marchetti that he calls Oracles of Visons that are important. In the past, Ciro created three Tarot decks with his beautiful artwork. I have all of them and love using them for their depth of imagery. His artwork takes the viewer to another world, another reality, where enhanced knowledge and wisdom can easily be gleaned for use in our mundane 3D physicality. After finishing his last Tarot deck, he stated that he would do no more. As he said later, he was feeling stifled by the traditions instilled in the Tarot. His creativity needed to be unhampered, unbound. He achieved just that with The Oracle of Visions. The imagery is profoundly moving, rich with symbolism and deep with meaning. From the book Zibu, The Power of Angelic Symbology by Debbie Z. Follow the energy of this symbol, either with your eyes or by drawing it with pen or color crayon on paper. Although there are no directions on where to start, I like to begin at the left and follow the energy as it flows around and down, then up again, circling toward the heavens, and then down again and around. I sense that each downward stroke is connecting me to the physical 3D world and the center loop is a visit to the spiritual realms. The circling movements on the side I sense are the swirling of energies as both spiritual and physical blend so I can understand the higher wisdom received in meditation with this symbol.
