The
Value of Inversion
While I was musing about what to write for this newsletter I selected an Omni Oracle card, as is my daily practice. Inversion showed up, and as I read the message it holds in the book, Omnidimensional Oracles, it struck me that it was perfect for the message in this edition of my newsletter. Enjoy! There is a purpose for inversion of that which you ordinarily view from only one direction. That purpose is only this: to give you a new perspective, a different viewpoint which will then give rise to new thoughts within you. As you view a thing from a commonly held perspective, whether it be an object, a relationship, or an issue, the same thoughts will be triggered. Thus the same outcomes will be always rendered. It is by use of inverting the thing that one can gain a different perspective and thus realize newfound knowledge. It is these new thoughts and their resultant new wisdom that achieve different outcomes. When using the same ingredients you will always create the same product. It is only when there is a variance of the ingredients, their amount, or the sequence in which they are mingled that you can realize a different and unique product or ending. By the use of inversion you can simply and easily create enough of a difference that a new and unique perspective might be gained. This can be achieved in many ways. The quickest and most simple is to turn the entire object so top is bottom and bottom is top. In this case, for example, if you were attempting to find your way from point A to point B, the inversion method would have you begin at point B and work your way toward Point A. Much can be discovered using this method of inversion that would otherwise be missed. All too often the commonly trod path becomes mundane and therefore uninteresting. As that happens boredom sets in, causing important details to be missed. Details that can make the journey from here to there more interesting, enjoyable, and vastly more valuable as new information is gathered along the way. When solutions are evasive, when creation becomes ponderous and stifled, when tedium reigns, inversion of the subject will bring unexpected and valuable rewards of new and useful information.
