Delve! Delve! Delve! Delve...
the very word connotates a deep plunging into dark unknowns. In
the true sense of this word, delve means simply to go deeper. The distance is
not inferred nor is it directly specified. Often
i n human affairs there is a delving into greater depths in the mental or emotional
realms. Most commonly it is accidental or else is contrived by circumstances or
another person. Rarely is it a voluntary act. The
value of delving has not accurately been discovered or recognized by humans. Had
this been so, it would be a common occurrence... a habit of those who wish to
refine and better themselves and their circumstances. It
is only by the act of delving that you can truly and accurately explore your true
self. Much, if not all, of your life is spent on the surface. However, there are
worlds to explore at deeper levels that can only be accessed if you are willing
to delve into them. It
is impossible to know what lies beneath the surface of the seas by looking only
at the surface. Gazing at the waves will tell you little beyond information about
winds and tides. While this is a goodly bit of information, it pales when compared
to that which can be gained if you are willing and able to delve into the depths
of the ocean... to explore the worlds that exist below the surface. So
it is with humans. To know yourself, totally and wholly, it is necessary to delve
below the shallow surface, to explore the worlds that exist deep within. As
you begin to learn more about yourself, new and greater knowledge is acquired
about others as well. Knowledge is acquired that is vastly more true than what
appears as the obvious, outward truths. There is knowledge beneath the knowledge
and truth beneath the truth. This wisdom can only be gleaned when you delve beneath
the superficial outlying appearance. It
takes great courage to delve deeply into the murky, dark depths of yourself. As
this is done, you gain not only access to greater truths about yourself, but also
greater courage to delve even farther. To
truly know yourself is the greatest achievement anyone can accomplish, for as
personal knowledge is discovered, so is knowledge of all life. The rewards are
unfathomably great when you delve into your own depths and discover the truths
that have lain hidden, truths that beg to be found.
It is a journey that, once begun, will be enjoyed for an entire lifetime. The
truths that are uncovered as you delve into the depth of self are like beacons
of light, guiding you to a better life… one with greater rewards and satisfaction.
These truths urge you on, impelling you to continue your journey of delving ever
deeper for even greater treasures of wisdom. Love, Kathy

Just
for Fun! I
haven't always been a life coach. I've had many jobs and types of work that include
(but aren't limited to) logging, clam digging, bartending, pea testing, motel
maid, owner/operator of a roofing company, carpenter, Realtor, construction estimator,
and salesperson of building supplies to contractors. The
weirdest and wackiest of all my jobs was when I was a Construction Superintendent
in charge of building a mini-mart/gas station. Everything from the job site itself
to the subcontractors had some oddball aspect to it, often requiring me to come
up with some creative and often unusual solutions. Enjoy
the adventures of my alter ego, Katlin Greene, in this rollicking fun book. You
